Installs

Our shop hourly rate is 90 dollars an hour.  With bigger projects, we can discuss a flat rate deal but with smaller installs such as exhaust, intakes...etc it is strictly hourly.  We do our best to be efficient with time so you dont end up getted stuck with a big bill for a small install but instances such as rusted bolts and having to do extra work will raise the cost of your bill.  You will be contacted in these instances.


ECU chipping/socketing service  

$50 for vtec/non-vtec ecu

$75 shipped for non-vtec ecu's to be converted to vtec

This does NOT include the ecu and I do NOT provide basemaps unless you are going to be tuned by me.  Having an ecu in stock depends my ability to get my hands on them.  They are hard to come by in my part of town which is why I am not advertising the sale of a complete package.  This package DOES include the Moates Honda chip kit and my labor for modifying the ecu.

 The Moates Honda Chip kit is 16 dollars

The Moates Vtec Conversion Kit is 20 dollars.  If you have a p05 or p06, there are 3 different circuit boards.  Please call the shop and have the ecu next to you so you can find the number which details which board you have.

Street and Dyno Tuning

I am the eCtune and Neptune Authorized Tuner for the Northwest FL area and surrounding areas. my tuning rates are as follows:

 
eCtune / Neptune / Hondata s300 / Greddy Emanage / VAFC-SAFC

Dyno Tuning = 300

Street Tuning = 200

Street AND Dyno Tuning = 450
- plan on leaving the car over night


Customers wanting to be tuned on eCtune or Neptune will need to add $100 dollars to pay for the required software license

These prices are not valid for standalone managements unless the management is already installed and it already drives "decent". Contact me for details on other engine managements. There are a few managements that I'm willing to run discounts on for allowing me to learn the software on your car so contact me for further details.

PART 2:

LABOR FREE ECU HARDWARE INSTALLATION WITH STREET/DYNO TUNING


If you have a virgin ecu that needs to be chipped, i will install the hardware for free IF you schedule an appointment to be tuned. If you need a compatible ecu, contact me and I will help you find what you need and still install the hardware for free. Sometimes I have a few in stock but there are times when the picking is slim at the yard and leaves me with limited local resources.

Traveling Tunes

I do travel to people all over the country, however, the customer pays for my flights or gas if I drive.  The best and most cost effective way to get me in your area (given I have to fly) is to get together with a few people who need tuning done and split the cost of getting me there.  Same tuning rates apply (pending the shops dyno hourly rates) as I charge at our shop.

 

Our dyno here at XXX Performance is a DynoJet with load control ability which does allow some leeway for tuning the part throttle areas.  however, closed loop is reactivated after the tune.  This is because i will not tune the car on the dyno like i do for setups that have been street tuned.  On the street i run leaner mixtures than what the o2 sensor can adjust for but street tuning allows for much finer tuning and allows me to run the car how i want it without the engine freaking out.  In street tuning situations, i turn off closed loop and it stays off.  The car will no longer run with the help of o2 sensors or need the help for that matter.



The following things MUST be done before coming to your tuning appointment.  NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS!!!

* FRESH Oil change
* Half a tank of gas
* NEW spark plugs (2 sets please)
   -- Please contact me if you need help choosing the correct plugs

* Absolutely NO oil leaks, wiring gremlins, OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS OTHER THAN KNOCK SENSOR OR O2 SENSOR.  I can take care of those CEL's with the tuning programs
-- please do not bring me a car that is filthy and greasy.

* Chipped/Socketed ECU is a requirement
  -- 4 pin datalogging header at location CN2 is a requirement

* There MUST be an O2 bung on the downpipe of the turbo (~24" from turbo exhaust outlet) or on the collector of the header
